Her name was Hope.

The last thing running through my head last lately was a chorus of echoes telling me not to give up.

• “Not giving up now, are ya?”
• “You can’t quit now!”
• “Don’t quit now. Everyone’s counting on you!”
• “Don’t lose hope, dude.”

It was after this realization (that I’ve come to many times in the past year) that one of the main things that happened is I lost hope that any of this is worth it.
